Nortel CEO in Israel: Nortel is the green trend pacesetter

Visiting Nortel Networks (NYSE:NT) CEO Michael Zafirovski met with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Minister of Communications Ariel Atias. Zafirovsky came to Israel to host the Nortel Israel customers' conference, at which the company unveiled a number of environment-friendly energy saving solutions.
More than 800 telecommunications experts attended the conference on Monday. Zafirovski reviewed Nortel's industry leadership and promised that the company was on the path to renewed growth and that it was investing heavily in new cost- and energy-saving solutions. "Nortel, which is leading the transition from hardware-based solutions to consolidated solutions in the software environment, is offering energy-saving solutions, which cut operating costs more than any competitor in the market. Nortel has led the green trend, which has become the hot topic in the market, for the past 11 years," he said.
